Purse Faves, formerly Amitié PH, was born during the pandemic in 2020 as a small side hustle that gradually grew into something much more meaningful. Based in the Philippines, what started as a simple search for handbags I personally loved eventually became a curated online space for those who appreciate timeless and unique pieces.The focus has always been on baguette-style handbags, a silhouette I naturally gravitated toward. Even with what many would call a “big girl job,” I was never comfortable carrying large purses. I loved the elegance and practicality of smaller bags, yet at the time it was surprisingly difficult to find shops that consistently offered them. So I began sourcing them for myself. Before I knew it, my personal collection had grown. I decided to sell a few pieces, and that small step soon turned into a passion for curating handbags that reflect style, quality, and personality. What began as a simple side project eventually grew into one of the first online shops on Facebook and Instagram in the Philippines dedicated specifically to this silhouette, proudly carrying the tagline “Home of Branded Baguette Bags in PH.” Even now, when I source bags, my mindset remains simple. If I truly love the piece and it meets my standards for design and quality, then it deserves a place in the collection. And if it does not find a new home right away, I am more than happy to keep and wear it myself. It has always felt like a win-win for someone who prefers thoughtful choices over risking hard-earned savings. I have also always had a special appreciation for vintage and preloved pieces. While secondhand items may not be for everyone, I believe they carry a unique kind of beauty. Some pieces are simply meant to find the right person at the right time. When a bag has been well loved yet remains in great condition, it tells a story of time, growth, and character, much like the journeys we all go through ourselves.
